First, prepare a hollow basket and wrap the outer surface with plastic wrap to prevent leakage later.
Apply marble clay evenly to the inner wall and bottom of the basket, and leave it for 7-10 days.
After the glue is completely dry, tear off the plastic wrap on the outside of the basket. Start pouring water, place the basket filled with water on a dry rag, leave it for a day, and observe the condition of the rag.
After a day, the water level had not changed and the rag remained dry.
For the samples that passed the test, the internal structure of the cement seemed to provide a dense and continuous barrier against water. The 6.5mm marble mortar has passed the waterproof test, solving the problem of yellowing and alkali reversion of ordinary marble.
